A digger in Queensland, well a statue of a miner.

The long way down, a very long way, driving towards three ways

NT and Queens border, it just kept getting hotter and hotter, by here it was easily into the 40s
Below is a Thorney Devil, only found on the hottest plains in Oz, this little fella was very cute, he looked like a little monster from another planet, then again the true outback is really wild.

Another really long straight road, ever south, ever hotter!
and more of the same
One of the most famous road signs in the outback, this is called three ways, from here north, south or east, IF you go west you will be never seen again.......
It is also your last chance to fill up on liquids before the long drive south to Alice or as in our case the even longer drive to the east coast.
Tiny taking a drink at Daley rivers, one of those obscure watering holes literally in the middle of nowhere.
Enough said !!!!!!!!

The Kakadu was to be honest a bit of a let down it was far to dry and we needed to come back in eight weeks.
So it was onwards without a croc in sight...........
The follow set where taken in the Kak.

Where are we?
Well acutally we have time warped backwards a bit
These are in Timor just proir to our depature to Oz.

Bridge building, the concrete slab was being held up by thousands of sticks, you would think they would be a little more stringent after all these Islands are the most active in the world.
On guard
